Hiring: can she see patients on her first day?

Dr. Nora Whitfield joins the group in 45 days. Adding a provider takes one form: where they will work, which payers will be billed, whether they prescribe. Every credential they need is listed at once, as missing, because it follows from those facts.

Her file opens on a "Ready by start date?" panel: readiness on her first day at each location, for every payer. Her license, malpractice coverage and CPR card are in place, but as the file stands today the panel answers "not ready" at Main Campus and "not ready" at Ashgrove Regional Hospital. Medicare, Larkspur Health Plan and Bluestem Mutual have not approved her yet, so those visits could not be billed. Initial enrollment takes months, so the panel says when the applications should have gone in.
